The next Community Connect event will be Tuesday March 29 from 10:00am – 1:00pm. This is a social media marketing workshop designed specifically for community organisations with social media expert Bea Pole-Bokor.
On Wednesday 16th February we held our first Community Connect event of the year. It was a Pitch Training workshop that helped our organisations prepare for a special funding opportunity with NCC, TDC, Rata Foundation and Department of Internal Affairs called the Colab Session. The organisations stated that this workshop was a hugely beneficial event, that gave them some good tips on how to give a successful pitch.
Angelika, our fantastic facilitator, on the day taught the organisations the 4 C’s for pitches, and how to effectively use their voice for optimum effect. Bill Huppler from the Nelson City Council came along and gave the organisations some invaluable insights about what the funders are looking for. Connecting these organisations with Bill and the various funders has been a very positive outcome.
