Getting the CRUNCH
 – while avoiding Business Crunches

Come & join us for a local business success story through a Mentee-Mentor cooperation with Business Mentors NZ. Graham and David will share their experience with mentoring, what they've done together, how it helped grow Graham's business and made a difference.

What we will talk about:

•QB Snacks background. A short history of how the business got to where it is today (and what’s in sight looking ahead).
•Mentee/Mentor synergies. How we have used our respective skills (and that of others), collaboratively to solve challenges and move the business forward.
•Some reflections on how the mentoring process works best to make efficient use of the resources available.
•Solving problems and avoiding obstacles.
•Growth pains. From our experiences, what kinds of challenges can the small business owner expect along the road to building a business.
•Challenges & opportunities looking ahead.

About the Presenters:

Graham Manson - Mentee

•Graham is a former Marine Electronics Technician who, during the 2020 Covid lockdown, conceived the idea of developing a satisfying, delicious & nutritious keto friendly snack product.
•Critical aspects were 100% natural ingredients and no additives. From this vision and many hours of hard work, QB’s cheese snacks was born. The product is high in protein, with no carbs, lactose free & gluten free. Naturally Keto friendly and also vegetarian.
•Originally made at home just for himself, QB’s Crunchy Cheese proved a huge hit with family & friends who urged him to produce the product in quantities that could be shared with others.
•Accordingly, Graham designed a unique process to produce QB’s on a commercial scale. Initially sold at the Nelson Farmer’s market, the news spread rapidly and QB’s is now sold at a wide range of specialist stores as well as progressively rolling out across the mass retail sector.

Graham's story was featured in the news:

Graham's Crunchy cheese snacks that is made here locally at The Food Factory Nelson will now be available on Air New Zealand flights!
"Nelson marine engineer Graham Manson’s company QB Crunchy Cheese is one of the new suppliers. The keto-friendly snack is made of puffed-up cheese cubes, made from 100% cheese cubes. It’s low carb, gluten-free with zero sugar. Manson, an aviation enthusiast, said they’re excited to offer a product that is “only 100% New Zealand cheese, which can be fun, functional and fancy all at the same time.”
“We are so excited and cannot wait. It’s a feel-good, uncomplicated snack. Whenever. Wherever. Let’s go!”
