Welcome to our new blog series where we would like to take you behind the scenes and show you what will you get if you join us for our upcoming business and networking events! Networking is so important for businesses and we would like to encourage you to join us, as well as contribute with possibilities to grow your business and network.

February was all about getting back into business and relaunching our events with fresh new energies following the summer season. We were very excited to see familiar faces, new and old, and re-connect in person.
Here is our month in pictures!

1. NBS Lunch & Learn | 13 February 2024

Getting Back on Track to Leading an Aligned Business in 2024 with Claudia-Sam Cataford Sauvé from Claudia-Sam Soul Coaching

What a great way to kick off our Lunch & Learn series. The topic: getting back on track to an aligned business!

Thank you to our amazing guest speaker Claudia-Sam Soul Coaching for inspiring the room with this workshop and all of you who joined us! We had a full house, full of good energy!
The participants were prompted through different exercises to tap into what alignment in their business could be like.
Big thank you to our fabulous sponsor NBS and our venue host Pūtangitangi Greenmeadows Centre for their ongoing support with this event series!

2. Apex Accounting "Just Talking" Businesswomen's Series | 21 February 2024
with Daniela Ramirez, Senior Climate Change Adviser for Nelson City Council

Co-organised with a fantastic team of Ladies at the BNZ Partners Centre Nelson and with our sponsors, Apex Accounting, we dreamed up a supportive and fun event to network, and join heartfelt, approachable conversations as our guests share their valuable business & life experiences.

We were blown away by the response to this event - we sold out, had great conversations and such a lovely venue to connect with each other, share a lunch and laughs.
Thanks to Daniela for being so honest and real with her journey, for sharing her approaches around climate change and inspiring a room full of businesswomen!

3. ICIB BizBreak Networking | 28 February 2024

We kicked off our first ICIB BizBreak business networking for the year, and as usual, Tina and ZUMO Coffee House were such lovely hosts, thank you!
“Networking is super important for business”, as one of our participants pointed it out, and apart from sharing around the table what we do as business owners and professionals, we explored a very interesting theme around starting new projects, roles, moving to new places, and new business & life events coming up. It was great to get to know the real people behind the actual businesses, and confirmed how important it is to put aside time and energy for networking, and to work on ourselves and our businesses, not just in it.

4. A special visit to the Radio

Last but not least, Trust Manager Gael Gordon was invited to the Radio to record a message of cooperation with our fantastic sponsors, NBS. We are very proud to cooperate with them and keep supporting our local business community in the Nelson-Tasman region! Marie Baker form MediaWorks NZ was a fantastic host and showed us around in this iconic Nelsonian building. We also had the chance to meet GM Lee Wright and some of the staff as well.

Thank you to each of you who contributed and was part of our events. We look forward to seeing you in March, or if you join us for the first time, to meeting you!
